Does Johnny Concert test on animals?
NO! Our products are made with high quality ingredients that are pure, healthy and always cruelty-free.  We do not perform animal testing and our supplier does not purchase any raw materials from vendors that perform animal testing.  We are a proud member of the PETA Caring Consumer Program.

Are Johnny Concert’s products natural?
Yes!  Cosmetic companies and cosmetic handcrafters tend to define ‘natural’ in varying ways. Johnny Concert and their supplier have taken the Truth in Labeling pledge of the Natural Ingredient Resource Center, which defines “natural ingredients” as including “plant, animal, mineral or microbial ingredients present in or produced by nature; produced using minimal physical processing; directly extracted using simple methods, simple chemical reactions or resulting from naturally occurring biological processes.”

Are Johnny Concert products organic?
We use a high percentage of certified Organic ingredients and only source raw materials from vendors that do not use pesticides.  As ingredients become available on the market in Organic form, we incorporate the Organic versions into our products.

Are Johnny Concert products Vegan?
We are a cruelty-free company that does not engage in any type of animal testing. We are not 100% Vegan but do carry Vegan products and working towards having an entire Vegan line. Being that we do not use any synthetic ingredients, dyes or chemicals; we do our best to give the color and quality desired naturally. Our Vegan products do not contain Carmine, Bees wax, Hydrolyzed silk or Honey. To shop our Vegan products that do not contain any of the listed non-Vegan ingredients please type the word ‘vegan’ in the search bar on top and all our Vegan products will be listed.

Is it possible to list mica as the only ingredient?
Yes! Mica is a natural element found in our earth. There are different types of natural shades of mica that result depending on where they are mined. What gives it the coloring are the molecules that attach to it in the earth, such as Carmine, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide and Ferric Ferrocyanide.  Depending upon the components, different shades result in different coloring. For example, Ferric Ferrocyanide results in blue; Carmine is red; Titanium Dioxide is white; etc. There is a difference between a substance being naturally occurring when mined and an additive. When ingredients are listed, we list additives. If Carmine (a non vegan colorant composed from red beetles) is one of the molecules that attached to the mica in its natural composition we list under the ingredients that this particular mica pigment contains Carmine. If we do not add any additives to our mica and keep it in its pure mineral form then it is just listed as mica.

What is the shelf life of Johnny Concert products?
There are many factors determining the shelf life of natural skincare products devoid of synthetic preservatives, these guidelines are valid only when the products are under proper handling and storage (i.e. no direct sunlight, extreme temperatures or similar).  Our mineral makeup can be expected to last years (or indefinitely, as there is nothing contained therein to harbor bacterial growth).

1. Mineral Eye Pigments/ Mineral Blush: 3-5 Years to indefinitely
2. Organic Eye Liner: 24-36 months
3. Organic Lip & Cheek Tint: 9-12 months
4. Organic Lip Gloss & Organic Lipstick: 12-18 months

How is Johnny Concert eco-savvy?
Being a green business we really do care about our earth and try to make a positive impact. All of our products are exclusively custom made upon order, not premade sitting on a store shelf waiting to be purchased. The lip gloss you ordered was made just for you after your order was placed. We guarantee the freshest makeup available on the market. Everything is custom, right down to the biodegradable bubble packaging. Johnny Concert uses a heat sealer to create an individually sized pouch tailored to the items in the order. Any selvage is cut and used as fill in the boxes. All of our make up is hand crafted in a 100% wind-powered workshop using CleanSteps Wind Power Technology. We always do the best we can to eliminate as much waste as possible using reusable, recyclable, and biodegradable packaging.
